Before You Assume the Worst

Diagnosis before decisions.

Our on-site inspections catch disease, drought stress, and structural problems early — while they're still fixable — across Salt Lake County. Mike examines the canopy, trunk, root flare, soil, and any signs of pests or decline, then explains what he sees and what your options are.

You get an honest assessment of what needs work, what can wait, and what needs nothing at all. Often that means a tree you were told to remove can be saved with the right pruning or treatment. When a tree genuinely is a hazard, a consultation flows naturally into a formal risk assessment.

This is also where tree preservation planning lives — protecting valuable trees during construction, landscaping, or a property purchase.

Consultation — Questions

Honest answers, upfront.

You often can't tell from the outside — the same yellowing or thinning canopy can mean iron chlorosis, drought stress, root damage, pests, or genuine decline, and each has a very different outcome. A certified arborist inspection looks at the whole tree and site to find the real cause, so you're not removing a tree that could recover.

Mike walks the property and examines each tree of concern — canopy, trunk, root flare, soil, and signs of pests or disease — then explains what he sees and what your options are. You get an honest assessment of what needs work, what can wait, and what needs nothing at all.

On-site estimates and assessments are free. For certain detailed visits a trip fee may apply; if so, we tell you up front before we head out. Formal written reports and appraisals are a separate, quoted service.
